"Life is worth living. We refuse to merely exist. We pursue a life of meaning and purpose, fulfillment and joy. The world is not yet as it ought to be. Neither is our city. Neither are we. Yet, we reject apathy and despair. We engage the world, our city, and each other to make an impact for good. We are not alone. We press through narcissism, isolation, and self-sufficiency, striving to live in authentic community."
Venezuela - Finca la Curva
Grown at 1555 MASL at Finca La Curva, this lot is composed of Yellow Catuai and Castillo varietals and produces a bright, structured cup with notes of Gala apple, cinnamon, and almond.
For most of the past decade, coffees like this were effectively absent from the global market. Economic sanctions and financial blockades imposed on Venezuela cut producers off from the international banking systems and trade networks that make coffee exports possible. Farms continued to grow extraordinary coffee, but selling it beyond their borders became nearly impossible.
Finca La Curva is part of a generation of Venezuelan producers who never stopped cultivating their land despite those pressures. Through new export partnerships and small openings in the system, their coffees are beginning to reach roasters abroad again.
We’re honored to bring one of those coffees to the table.
Behind every cup is the work of farmers who kept producing through years of economic isolation and structural barriers designed to keep their harvests from reaching the world. What you’re tasting here is more than a coffee returning to market — it’s the persistence of a producing community finally finding its way back into global trade.
THE WORLD IS NOT WHAT IT OUGHT TO BE.
NEITHER AM I.
NEITHER IS MY CITY.
CREDO COFFEE ROASTERS.
